BSE ! Isn’t that something to do with Mad Cows ?

Well yes, BSE is the acronym for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, or what is more commonly called “Mad Cow Disease”. But Business Systems Engineering is also the title of a book first published by Gregory H Watson in 1994. The subtitle of this outstanding book is “Managing Breakthrough Changes for Productivity and Profit”. This is a work that I have had on my shelf for almost 20 years and I still constantly refer to it today. It is probably the book that brought me to consider “System Thinking in combination with Lean”. This work has been an inspiration and is the reason we chose BSE Partners  as our company name despite its connections with mad cows! Business Systems Engineering by Gregory H Watson  is a truly definitive work and is still today simply …….   way ahead of it time.
